This site is geared toward demonstrating how chord theory works, specifically for playing guitar. Chord theory will help answer questions about chord numbering (what the Nashville Numbering system is based on), chord formulas, barre chord theory, and techniques for learning to play by ear.

I use this information also for teaching chord theory on the piano. Piano is much simpler to visualize, especially when adapting chord formulas, but also for chord numbering.
