My name is David Southwick. I have been playing guitar since 1979. In 1984 I began applying chord theory to the piano/keyboard.

I offer guitar and piano lessons in the Titusville, PA, area. I teach acoustic and electric guitar, including pop, rock, country, worship, with an emphasis on chord theory, playing by ear, and lead guitar. I also teach chord theory on the piano. I customize lessons to each student’s particular interests. You can contact me by leaving a comment if you are interested in lessons.

One of my favorite genres of music is classic rock. However, one of my most favorite bands is Alter Bridge (the successor to Creed, where Mark Tremonti has much improved his guitar shredding abilities since his days in Creed). Another favorite band is Dark New Day.

Some of my favorite guitarists include Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Lincoln Brewster, Rex Carroll, Brett Garsed, Rodrigo and Gabriela.
