Playing at Our Christmas Service

My name is David Southwick. I began playing guitar more than 30 years ago. In 1984 I began applying chord theory to the piano/keyboard.

Lessons

I offer guitar and piano lessons in the Titusville, PA 16354 area. I teach acoustic and electric guitar, including pop, rock, country, worship, with an emphasis on chord theory, playing by ear, and lead guitar. I also teach chord theory on the piano.

Teaching students of all ages, children and adults alike, my lessons are customized to each student, depending on skill level, and preference of music genre(s).

My Music Preferences

One of my favorite genres of music is classic rock. However, one of my most favorite bands is Alter Bridge (the successor to Creed, where Mark Tremonti has much improved his guitar shredding abilities since his days in Creed). Another favorite band is Dark New Day.

Some of my favorite guitarists include Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Lincoln Brewster, Rex Carroll, Brett Garsed, Rodrigo and Gabriela.

In the past 25 years I’ve helped lead worship with Youth With A Mission and with my local church. Some of my favorite worship leaders include Lincoln Brewster, Paul Baloche and Delirious?.
